Then the “Full House” star focused on his family. “He was a proud father, grandfather, husband and dedicated coach. But most of all, I know how much he loved his family.”
Finally, Candice focused on faith. “Thank you for praying for the entire Storm family as we grieve.” We love you, Vladimir, and you will always remain in our hearts.”
Candace Cameron Bure’s late father-in-law Vladimir Bure was born on December 4, 1950, in Norilsk, Russia, about 170 miles north of the Arctic Circle. His family originated from Furna, Switzerland. Moreover, the Bure family made precious and bespoke watches for the Russian tsars from 1815 to 1917. This gave the family noble status.
Vladimir was considered a swimming legend for the USSR. He competed for the Soviet Union in the 1968, 1972, and 1976 Olympics, winning four medals in swimming. One was an individual medal for 100m, while the other three were for relays. However, his dream was to play hockey.
